Amberjack Fishing Destin

Dreaming of a trip this spring down to the gulf coast to try your luck catching a few fish and maybe even the elusive Amberjack. Planning a fishing trip to the gulf coast can make the difference. Having book a charter in advance will mean you will not have to settle for just any charter boat.

Each year I pack up the family and drive from Atlanta to Destin, Florida. My kids are excited by the beautiful sand and emerald green water. My wife is excited about the restaurants and doing a little shopping. The whole family also wants to soak up some sun. They are ready to do some serious vacationing.

Then comes what I have been waiting for day three of the trip. This is my day. This is the day we all go after the mighty amberjacks. This is a fish that is challenging to find and catch. However I know a secret. One charter boat called the Backlash knows where to go to catch these fish season after season. So this is my day. Last year I caught a 60lbs amberjack. This was the thrill of a lifetime. The captain put my smiling face and trophy fish picture on his website. My kids caught some great fish as well.
